Get the ball rolling by filling out our online application for undergraduate admission. And the best part — the application fee is currently waived so you can apply for FREE!
Ask your high school counselor to send an official copy of your high school transcript and ACT/SAT/CLT scores to our office.
SBU's ACT school code is 2368 and SAT school code is 6664.
You also can upload your transcripts and test scores through your online application profile.
Meet two of the following three qualifiers:
SBU is test-optional for admission. However, submitting ACT, SAT or CLT test scores could potentially improve your academic scholarship eligibility. Please contact your admissions counselor if you have questions or concerns.
If you haven't already, make sure you schedule a visit to SBU! Visiting campus is the best way to discover how SBU can help you reach your goals and to see how you will find your place in our community. You can schedule an individual visit or join one of our group visit day events. We can't wait to show you around campus!
Submit the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) to qualify for state and federal grants, loans and work study financial aid opportunities. SBU will use your FAFSA results to put together your own personalized financial aid package and your admissions counselor will work with you through each step of this process. The recommended deadline for filing the FAFSA is February 1.
Ready to officially join the SBU family? Login to your online application profile to pay your enrollment deposit and secure your spot in classes and housing! The deposit is refundable if made prior to May 1 for students enrolling for the Fall semester.
Welcome Week is our official New Student Orientation that takes place the week before classes start each semester. Attending Welcome Week helps you make a smooth transition into life at SBU!
